Treatment is based on the grade of the piles. Options include:

Common sign: bleeding during stool. Piles during pregnancy are also treated.

Fissure-in-ano

Medical management, and surgical intervention when it is indicated.

Common sign: severe pain during stool.

Fistula-in-ano

Treated with Ksharasutra therapy and conventional surgical procedures.

Common signs: pus discharge or swelling.

Pilonidal sinus

Surgical management, chosen according to how severe the disease is.
